Appleberry Farm has a variety of areas that are sure to create some unforgettable and fun family photos. Whether it’s the gorgeous gardens, the seemingly never-ending fields or the historic barn, there’s a perfect setting for your next photo session.
It is all about location!
Connecticut is filled with some great photo session locations. In my 10+ years of professional photography, I’ve found some awesome areas around Fairfield County to hold mini sessions and family photo sessions. (If you’re looking for something other than a farm, I’d be happy to suggest some parks and beaches that will also be a great photo location.) See my post about that here.
Becky at Appleberry Farm was welcoming, flexible and easy to work with. I wish that I could say that I discovered this photo location, but it was my client who suggested it to me! The best part was that it was right in my neighborhood of Sandy Hook, CT.
Large groups or intimate portraits
This extended family from the Danbury area had their recent photo session one afternoon at the farm. The historic barn is such a gorgeous backdrop for the whole clan, or more intimate portraits of each part of the family.
This cute couple had a wonderful afternoon learning about the history of the property. Becky, the co-owner of the farm, took a lot of time from her busy day to tell tales of her family’s tenure farming this land in Connecticut.
We always manage to let loose and have some fun at our family photo sessions. Once we get the more formal large group photos done, it’s time to go for it. You can really let your family’s true personality come out once every one has relaxed.
That’s when the real lasting memories are made.
