Why Do Newborn Photos at Home?
Remember your baby’s first days in the place they’ll always remember as “home”.
Photographer / Mover / Housekeeper
You like the idea of having your newborn photo session at home, but then you look around. Ugh. Mess. Destruction.
Don’t worry! The first thing I tell my clients is “Don’t bother cleaning up before I come!”
I’m a mom. I understand. As a new parent, says and nights spin past, mix you up and spit you out. Cleaning your home is the last thing you need to worry about.
When I arrive at your house for your baby’s photo session we’ll go on a short tour and I’ll decide where the best areas for photos are. Usually the family room, bedroom, or nursery… I’m looking for the best light. That’s right, the light, not the furniture, not the dishes, not the pile of shoes in the corner.
I can move all the piles and devices and even the furniture (I work out!). The light shining in through your windows is going to stay where it is. I can’t move that.
Your Baby’s First Home is A Precious Memory
It’s all about telling your family’s story, not about being perfect. Your is where your story begins. This is what these babies will want to see when they’re growing up, or grown and gone. (They will do that…Eventually.)
Sure, this isn’t newborn photos with fancy backdrops and elaborate props. But, it is authentic. It is real. It is showing the connection between you and your new tiny person.
